Calling all Community Colleges!
Community Colleges are invited to apply for the CIBER Consortium For Education Abroad (CC/FEA). Participation is FREE. The fully funded initiative is designed to increase the capacity for community colleges to develop education abroad programs and a workforce with a global perspective by providing comprehensive, wraparound support.
We are interested to learn if courses at the community college include global, international, and intercultural topics and perspectives in class readings, class discussions, class activities, and class assignments/project. There is very little current research on community college internationalization of the curriculum and this study will help to advance the field. The survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete.
Mastering a foreign language is an asset in our global society and advantageous for mutual understanding across cultures and borders. Studies have shown that these upsides associated with knowing foreign languages also translate to a significant leg up in the workforce!
Registration is now open for the 11th Annual National Community College Virtual Peacebuilding Seminar. This year’s seminar will be held by Zoom Fridays, October 27 & November 3 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. ET.
