Fulbright International Education Administrators Award

Dr. Margaret Hiebert, SCCCD Coordinator of International Education, was awarded the Fulbright International Education Administrators Award in Berlin Germany November 2025. Dr. Hiebert will learn about the German higher education system and find potential partners for faculty and student mobility exchanges.

International Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Seminar

Please join the Forage Center for its International Peacebuilding & Humanitarian Virtual Seminar set for December 5, 2025 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Registration closes 11/24.

We will have sessions on climate change, DEI in role playing, peace leadership, environmental security, empathy, indigenous communities, and peace journalism (and more!).

Application for Funded Study Abroad Program Now Open!

Celebrating 20 years of excellence, the CLS Program is a funded immersive summer study abroad opportunity for American college and university students to learn languages of strategic importance. The CLS Program is a program of the U.S. Department of State and supported in its implementation by American Councils for International Education.

In just eight weeks, participants receive the equivalent of one year of college-level study in one of nine critical languages: Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, and Swahili. The program combines intensive language instruction with rich cultural activities.

One of my favorite parts of my study abroad trip was building close connections with my classmates while navigating a completely new environment together. We grew closer each day, and I made friendships that I know will last a lifetime — I’m already planning a summer trip with one of my closest friends from the program!

Fully Funded Opportunity for Community Colleges – CIBER Consortium For Education Abroad (CC/FEA)

This initiative, fully funded by a consortium of The Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) with support from AIFS Abroad and the Gertz-Pellicane Foundation and facilitated by The Forum, is designed to increase the capacity for community colleges to develop education abroad programs and to develop a workforce with a global perspective by providing comprehensive, wraparound support.

CCIE Monthly Education Abroad Working Group Meeting (Sept. 18 at 4:10PM)
