Chaffey College generously offered to host this year’s 2026 California Community College Foreign Language Council (CCCFLC) Conference at their campus on Saturday, October 17, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are all very happy to go back to an in-person format and look forward to seeing your smiling faces and speaking with everyone live and in person instead of “live online.”

The CalAbroad Town Hall will include presentations highlighting systemwide updates from UCEAP, CSU IP, CCIE, and AICCU; partner updates including NAFSA Region XII, the Forum on Education Abroad, and Diversity Abroad, as well as topics facing study abroad professionals today throughout California and around the world.

Annually, the Institute of International Education (IIE) makes grants to U.S. colleges and universities in the IIENetwork to help U.S. students obtain a U.S. passport and encourage them to study abroad.

Asia Institute – Community Colleges for International Development Joint Scholarships (Open to CCIE Members)

The Asia Institute, in partnership with Community Colleges for
International Development (CCID) and CCIE have launched a joint-scholarship
program specifically for community college students intending to study
in East and/or Southeast Asia in 2026.
These scholarships are open to students from CCID member colleges and they are open to any CCIE Member College current with their dues.
A total of $2000 in scholarship funds will be awarded next month.
