11th ANNUAL NATIONAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE PEACE BUILDING SEMINAR

The 11th Annual National Community College Peacebuilding Seminar will soon be announced. The seminar is the only faculty seminar based in Washington, DC that addresses issues of peace, conflict resolution, war, security, diplomacy, social justice, human rights, and international affairs designed specifically for community college professionals.

CCIE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY COLLEGE GLOBAL AFFAIRS FELLOWSHIP

Three California community colleges students from American River College, Foothill College, and Riverside College were accepted to participate in the Community College Global Affairs Fellowship (CCGAF) in Washington, DC in Summer 2023 from May 30 – August 16. These finalists were among 30 fellows chosen out of over 140 exemplary applicants. CCGAF is a fully paid summer enrichment and mentorship program that seeks to expand access to global education opportunities and international affairs careers.

CCIE INSTITUTIONAL GRANT AWARDEE 2022: MiraCosta College: FINAL REPORT Co-Curricular Virtual International Exchange Program: Umoja-ESCO-IGES Burkina Faso

MiraCosta College is the recipient of the 2022 CCIE Institutional Grant. With their funding, they created a Co-curricular Virtual International Exchange: Umoja – ESCO-IGES Burkina Faso.

CCIE INSTITUTIONAL GRANT AWARDEE 2023: Orange Coast College

Orange Coast College proposes to have the Marine Science Department develop a program with three marine science study abroad classes at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland. By creating an abroad program to Scotland, we are supporting OCC’s mission to provide innovative programs and services that support foundational skills and lifelong learning for our students.
