The 2026-2027 academic year has begun for many of us. Community colleges were formed to produce an educated citizenry and to solve problems of society, including unintended consequences from crises. The changing global challenges, national policies, institutional support for internationalization is highly sensitive to crisis and change. For some of our colleges, we are shifting from current positive interpretations of internationalization to more cautious, risk-based strategies. We have been in uncertain times before and not only survived, but thrived. I am looking forward to working and supporting all of you in the year ahead as we push forward the internationalization of higher education agenda. To thrive as an association, please participate in CCIE programs and please be current with your dues.
DUES
CCIE is a non-profit association. That means that half of all the we make (i.e. college dues) goes back to support our member colleges. The dues pays for:
1) CCIE Website that lists all member college international programs;
2) Student Scholarships;
3) Institutional Grants;
4) Free Webinars; and
5) Education Abroad Working Group
CCIE DUES are kept low purposefully so that all colleges have an opportunity to be part of CCIE and to gain support from an association that has been serving California community colleges since 1985.
