International and global education plays an important role in expanding student opportunity, strengthening workforce preparation, and preparing students to learn, work, and thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. Recognizing the growing importance of this work, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office is developing a new Vision 2030 International Education Workplan to strengthen and expand international and global learning opportunities across the system. As part of this effort, we are conducting a statewide landscape survey to better understand the breadth of international and global education efforts already taking place across our colleges. The information collected will help identify promising practices, existing partnerships, areas of need, and opportunities to strengthen statewide support and collaboration.
Because international and global education touches many areas of a college, we welcome perspectives from anyone involved in or supporting this work. This may include instructional faculty, student services professionals, international student program staff, study abroad coordinators, administrators, grants and workforce staff, and others whose work contributes to preparing students for success in an increasingly interconnected world. Multiple responses from the same college are welcome, and we encourage you to forward the survey to colleagues who may have additional knowledge or perspectives to share.

We also encourage anyone interested in international and global education across the California Community Colleges to join our new International Education listserv. The listserv will provide updates on the Vision 2030 International Education Workplan, opportunities to engage in statewide activities, and resources and information to support international and global education efforts.
