We are pleased to present the new Bootcamps for summer 2023! The Bootcamps are a great opportunity for community college students to study-abroad in France, learn about sustainability, and broaden their intellectual horizons.
We are working on 4 new programs and prepared a communication toolkit to help you share this exciting opportunity with your students. More information below and on our website.
The Bootcamp Experience:
The Bootcamps are part of the French Embassy’s mission to lower the barriers to studying abroad for underrepresented and underserved students. We designed our programs to be accessible both in terms of cost and academic requirements. Students can expect:
- High-quality academic programs offered by top French institutions
- A multi-disciplinary and project-based learning experience
- An all-inclusive package
2023 Bootcamps:
We are working on four different engaging and thought-provoking programs that will take place in June and July 2023:
- Sustainable City Campuses (Nancy & Metz) – June 11 – June 25
- Nature: Tamed & Wild (Lyon) – June 12 – June 25
- Sustainable Business (Rennes) – June 18 – July 1
- Sustainable Management of Marine Ecosystems (La Ciotat) – June 25 – July 8
Timeline:
Mark your calendar!
- December 5: the call for applications opens
- December 14: Informational Webinar (Advisors & Faculty – register here)
- January 18: Virtual Q&A session (Students)
- January 31, 11:59pm EST: the call for applications closes
- February: review of student applications
- First week of March: applicants receive notification of the outcome. Advisor will also be notified of scholarship recipients via email.
- April 14: last day to pay the program fees or withdraw from the program (with full refund)
Communication Toolkit:
We have prepared a Communication Toolkit to help you share this opportunity with your students and your campus community. You will find the detailed programs of the Bootcamps as well as template emails to send to your students.
