Founder and President
Mary Anne Thompson founded GoinGlobal as a result of her own experiences job hunting in Sweden. Prior to launching GoinGlobal in January 2002, Ms. Thompson spent several years in Stockholm counseling other career-seeking expatriates. She was a columnist and speaker for MonsterEurope, and the career columnist for Svenska Dagbladet, the largest newspaper in Sweden. Mary Anne is the author of The Global Resume and CV Guide, the first book on the market with job hunting guidelines for 40 countries (John Wiley & Sons – publisher, 1999).
Mary Anne also served as an attorney and adviser to President Ronald Reagan in the White House and served in a similar role for Secretary of Transportation, Elizabeth Dole. She was appointed by former President George Bush to the U.S. Small Business Advisory Council in recognition of her many entrepreneurial activities.
