INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Programs/ activities that include bilateral and cooperative agreements that provide ESL, technical, vocational, occupational, language, and knowledge transfer to other countries. Emphasis is to provide resource development, training, consultation, educational services and professional development opportunities in relevant disciplines and technologies. Long-term and short-cycle business and academic agreement/ programs are coordinated with an international network of participating institutions having similar interests. Some result in establishment of branch campuses. Related programs: international virtual and distance education, marketing colleges abroad; customize training for foreign delegations; supervise oversee international education initiatives and sister colleges.
INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Programs/activities that highlight global education and services, technology deployment, continuous workforce improvement, cross-cultural training, and international trade and development. Concentrates on preparing businesses to understand national and international politics and economics, the dynamics of the world marketplace and emerging occupations being affected by world trade to strengthen economic growth and global competitiveness. Related programs include export assistance services; organize seminars/workshops and technical assistance to local businesses; Cross-Cultural Training; and International Business and Trade.

SAN DIEGO CCD: Cal-Mex-Net Project sponsored 2004 exchanges:
SANTA ROSA: Hosted 20 Swedish students for a 5-week program
WEST VALLEY/ MISSION CCD:
